Action-oriented, team player/cooperative, and Detail-Oriented are crucial for being a teacher. Action-oriented means willing or likely to take practical action to deal with a problem or situation. Team player/cooperative means a person who plays or works wells as a member of a team or group. Detailed-Oriented means possessing or trained in more than one skill or area of expertise. These traits have been around since April 23, 1635 when Boston Latin School in Boston was built, for being a teacher. The school was started by Rev. John Cotton who wanted to create a school modeled after the Free Grammar School. Latin and Greek were taught in Boston Latin School. The school was publicly funded and the first classes were held in the home of Philemon Pormort, the school’s master.
